A BJP worker who worked as an autorickshaw driver was hacked to death by six allege CPM worker. What is more shocking was that at the time of the incident five school childern were in the autorickshaw. The incident, which is believed to be part of the recent bout of violence between CPM and BJP in the district, took place at Chokli, a politically sensitive area in Kannur.
